Why put cover songs on there? I don't get it. "Green Green Grass of Home" is a country song from 1965 that Jerry Lee Lewis and Tom Jones had the hit with. "I Just Can't Help Believin'" is a B.J. Thomas hit. What were these people thinking who compiled this album? Why the covers? It doesn't make sense. Elvis has enough original material so that covers do not need to go on there.

Cover? That's not a good argument, even Blue suede shoes is a cover! That's all right, A fool such as I, You don't have to say you love me, My way, Fever, Always on my mind, Guitar man, Are you lonesome tonight?, My boy, American trilogy, There goes my everything, ... All of them are covers. On the other hand I agree with ttwiise: great cover! And that's all.

i would rate this two cd set 10 out of 10!-just for the design and pic on the front-also the track listing is far better than the 2001 rca release "50 greatest hits"(which was to me poorly designed)and i noticed the sound quality is far better than previous compiltation albums released in the past!(i noticed on my panasonic hi-def cd/dvd player that a-lot of the tracks are "new sound" and remastered!,making the cd very enjioyable to sit down and play more than once-all i nall,a well desinged cd with a great track listing and very tempting for the average joe public to put in their shopping trolly at asdas or tescos..i wonder wether or not the album will sell anough copies to get into the uk album charts?(would'n't it be nice to see elvis in the singles charts and the album charts at the same time)

Great traclisting. I just might buy this if I can find it. Even though I have all the songs numerous times.

Yet another hit compilation: the die-hards among us think it's hurting his legacy but on the other hand, it charted well in the UK and they say the CD era is dying down, anyway. Cool cover, but really, aren't they overdoing the '50s Elvis usage lately? The best recommendation might be the sound, as noted below.

load your own cd/s into your computer then copy the songs in this order, and the item is Free. why would anyone want to spend money on a re-re-re-re=re released music.

Why? Because I don't have the time or patience to load my computer and waste my time copying. I lead a busy life.
