What are the lyrics of the Elvis Presley song Get Back?

I like the Little Sister/Get back medley, very very much. The 1970 versions are the ones I like best. But I do love the complete rehearsal with almost 5 minutes from Culver City, in the summer of 1970. The way The King says "Jo Jo lost his Ass..." is so spontaneous that turns it outstanding. Only The King is allowed to treat a Beatles song like that! Unique.

I wish Elvis had sung the verses aswell as the chorus and learnt the song properly. He needed more quality songs from the best writers of the day. Whether they would have got to him is another thing. I'm sure Paul McCartney, Robert Plant or Elton John would have been willing to write a song for the King.

Not my favorite at all and especially as it poluted the great rocker Little Sister. So I actually hate it and always skip it. I am sure some day I will cut Little Sister free from this dreadful song, as soon as I have the computer skills to do it.

Elvis really only repeats the chorus, so we don't get a full song, but I think Elvis picks up on how much he influenced Paul McCartney's song, and strips both Little Sister and Get Back down to essentially a bluesy jam. It may not be anywhere near my top 10 or even top 50 favs, but I thought it was a great surprise the first time I heard it and I still do.

Coupled with Little Sister is how I will judge this, and I find it extremely enjoyable. A jam yes, and not all the words but still a mini live classic to my ears. - I always sing along to this one so 4 stars from me.

I've never liked this hit Beatles song, so I'm very glad that Elvis never recorded a proper version of it. Obviously the very best rendition of this very famous song is by The Beatles.

I love early Beatles. i have the 1962 to 1966 album on vinyl and CD. Their later material is over-rated. To me, Elvis simply gave a nod to The Beatles when he returned to live performances. I would have preferred to hear Elvis sing Elton John songs (e.g. Rocket Man, Get Back Honky Cat, Bennie & the Jets, Crocodile Rock).

I think it's fair to say that Elvis gave a nod to The Beatles when including some of their songs in his live set. I kinda like the medley of LIttle Sister/Get Back. Not so keen on the Yesterday/Hey Jude combo though. Yesterday is fine, without the Hey Jude mess. Something is passable too! But, when I heard the jam of Lady Madonna, I really would have liked him to do that one justice! Someone mentioned Elton John. Elton was a fan of early Elvis. But, I'm fine with Elvis not touching the Elton John songbook! I like Elton too!
