I don't need a lot of presents
To make my Christmas bright
I just need my baby's arms
Wound around me tight
Oh oh santa hear my plea
Santa bring my baby back to me
The Christmas tree is ready
The candles all aglow
But with my baby far away
What good is mistletoe
Oh oh Santa, hear my plea
Santa bring my baby back to me
Please make these reindeer hurry
Well their time is drawing near
It sure won't seem like Christmas
Until my baby's here
Fill my sock with candy
And a bright and shiny toy
You wanna make me happy and fill my heart with joy
Then Santa, hear my plea
Santa bring my baby back to me
Please make these reindeer hurry
Well their time is drawing near
It sure won't seem like Christmas
Until my baby's here
Fill my sock with candy
And a bright and shiny toy
You wanna make me happy and fill my heart with joy
Then Santa, hear my plea
Santa bring my baby back to me
Then Santa, hear my plea
Santa bring my baby back to me

I always loved this song. True 50's Rock N Roll with Elvis even out-Elvising himself. Does not get played enough at Christmas time & should be more well known.
Great song and I love the album too. El at his best.
"Santa Claus Is Back In Town" is the "Jailhouse Rock" of Christmas songs and this is the Christmas equivalant to "Treat Me Nice". Softer than SCIBIT; but still outstanding with Elvis and Jords making this one a classic.
Christmas without a tree, a plump bird(Oh matron!) and Elvis' Christmas album could never be complete. Great song, never get tired of listening to it.
I think this one is a real classic. I Love "Blue Christmas" but I wish "Santa, Bring my back to me" was just as popular. The two Elvis Christmas songs that get the most airplay at Christmas, are "Blue Christmas" and "Here Comes Santa Claus", in America.
I always liked this one much more than Santa Claus Is Back In Town. Great R'n' R/pop ditty.
Best 3 from the First original Christmas Album: "Santa Bring my Baby Back to me", "Blue Christmas", "Santa Claus is back in town". But then again the whole Album is great. "Santa Bring my baby back to me" should be pushed as a single, maybe in a format like this: Track one-2011 Remix and Overdubbed (new music added) Track Two:Original 1957 version. And, this should only be Elvis, and not a duet release.
Great track! Should be as well known as Blue Christmas, but isn't. The Jordaniares sound great in this too!
This is such a fabulous and fun Christmas song and it's one of seventeen songs that Elvis recorded that was written by Aaron Schroeder.
A Christmas version of Teddy Bear in many ways, it has that same bouncy happy go lucky feel to it. Issued as a single in the UK back in 1957, it deservedlly broke into the top 10.
Great track, even for Easter. DeMetrius also wrote Mean woman blues and Hard headed woman. This one is more mellow, but still great.
A superb holiday rocker from the classic Elvis Christmas album of 1957. Could have stood on it's own as a single. Just lots of fun, filled with humor and cheer. Makes me feel good every time I hear it.
Love this song, this has to be the #2 all time Christmas song, right behind the #1 XMAS song of ALL TIME Santa Clause is back in town
A true classic in every sense of the word. He should have stopped with the 1957 Christmas Album; the follow-up in 1971 doesn't come close and pales when compared to this album and this song for one of 6 on side one.
Very energetic performance by Elvis. Nice version which always moves me.
This Christmas song is a true masterpiece for sure and Elvis' rendition of it was brilliant without a shadow of a doubt.
The other sixteen songs that Elvis recorded that were co-written by Aaron Schroeder were "A Big Hunk O' Love", "Any Way You Want Me (That's How I Will Be)", "Apron Strings", "Dixieland Rock", "Don't Leave Me Now", "First In Line", "Good Luck Charm", "Got A Lot O' Livin' To Do", "I Got Stung", "I Was The One", "In Your Arms", "It's Now Or Never", "Shoppin' Around", "Stuck On You", "Young And Beautiful" and "Young Dreams".
Such a joyful christmas song! The album is on my playlist every christmas since I first got hold of a copy of it. My firt copy was the second edition vinyl, with the "blue" cover. Every song on that wonderful album is a classic imo!
Great recording, as was every track on the Lp. This is why it's Elvis best selling album of all time.
Great joyful Christmas song. Brings lots of happiness when hearing this and still the King rocks during this performance.
It sure won’t seem like Christmas without this melody here!! Classic, enough said.
