Good version live.Shame he didn't do a studio version.
The best version I ever heard of this song, hands down. A proper studio version would have been fantastic. Also, he didnt do it very often live either. Only a few times in 1969. Too bad.

The In Person version, the first one I ever heard, is my favourite of this one. He did many good renditions of it! A real cracker of a performance!
The first version I heard was the one appearing on The Las Vegas Years LP. I thought it was great. After some time I heard the version on Elvis in Person, and it was even better. That performance blew me away, it still does. Elvis at his best
Actually, he did do it in 1971. I was there. And it was a great, rockin number! I also wish he would have recorded it.

Never one of my favorite tracks as it sounds like Elvis he is hoarse and is shouting at points. Very repetitive lyrics and the song goes on way too long.
He was still doing this one in 72 but anytime between 69 and 72 and it was gonna be a blistering performance! I'm not wild about the track as it's just a very basic blues number rocked up but it sure is poweful and wuld have been a thrill to see live. Three stars.
A fabulous rocker. I loved this song from the day it was released. this song had all the powerful ingredients for a live performance. I wonder why he did not put this one on the song list now and then. It would have been great to have this one in line with Polk Salad Annie.
This is a powerhouse song and must have been exciting to see live on stage. The song was perfect for Elvis on stage in the period 69-71, before he moved to the more dramatic, opera style concerts in 72. Of course Chuck Berry also had a great rendition of this song. Four stars.

Funny, but my wife and I both think that the hoarsenes ind Elvis´ voice is part of what makes this song so great. The same goes for the "shouting", it is the same thing that makes me prefer the 68´version of guitar man over the master Again we have an eksampel of one of Elvis´ 50 voices. 5 stars from us.
Pulsating and exciting done in his own inimitable style. I like the the tongue in cheek delivery, the good feel factor but I don't necessarily think that a studio version would have been better. 5 stars all the way for this one.
This is such a great blues song and Elvis has the best renditions of it by far. Elvis should have sung it more often though.
This song was original a gospel called This Train, but Dixon put some new lyrics on it and voilà. Absolutely great version by The King!

This is one of those mediocre songs that Elvis turns into something great. Wish there was video of him doing this song as I'm sure he kicks a** on it.
