It happened that Elvis' sings the songs he liked very good and the oldies, throwaways as usual. I like it :)

A good album featuring our King's brilliant performances. Nevertheless, the one who mixed the sound was somewhat ineffectual!

I've always wondered why Elvis thought the Gold Lame suit was too flashy, when all he ever wore in the 70s was gawdy jumpsuits. Some of them were iconic, but the rest -- and the arrangements of the oldies like Teddy Bear -- make Elvis in the 70s seem more dated and irrelevant than Elvis in the 50s or even the 60s. Just a thought. As for the album here, I Really Don't Want to Know & Tryin' to Get to You are vigorous performances. It's just a shame the rest of the album isn't consistently good. What angers me is that 7 years prior, when Elvis was in "the best shape of his life", he still couldn't care less for his early repertoire. The packaging, the sound and the circumstances under which Elvis In Concert was recorded make this release ultimately unappealing and unlikely to get played much.

Parts from the last tour. Elvis has clear problems remembering lyrics.
