Words & Music: Arranged by Elvis Presley
O come, all ye faithful
Joyful and triumphant
O come ye, o come ye to Bethlehem
Come and behold him
Born the king of angels
O come let us adore Him
O come let us adore Him
O come let us adore Him
Christ the Lord

Sing choirs of angels
Sing in exaltation
Oh sing all ye rivals
Of heaven above
Glory to God, Glory in the highest
O come let us adore Him
O come let us adore Him
O come let us adore Him
Christ the Lord
Recorded: 1971/05/16, first released on Elvis Sings the Wonderful World of Christmas

I know some people think this song is too bombastic, but I love the arrangement on this tune. The music, the background singing and Elvis all intertwine so well together.

Not one of his Christmas tunes I go looking for to play via CD. OK, average, 3-stars. The 1971 Christmas Album pales in comparison to the 1957 Christmas Album and always will as far as I'm concerned.

It's pure kitsch, but that's what you expect, and want, when listening to a christmas record. Not my favourite track on the album, not a memorable recording by any stretch, no outstanding vocal performance to say the least, but it still worksin context. 3 stars.

I like the short version on "The Wonderful World Of Christmas" LP. Wonderful arrangement and nicely sung.

Well done version of the classic Christmas song. Nothing really new here, been done like this a thousand times before and a thousand times since, but well played.

doesn't really work for me the arrangement is good but elvis's vocals are not crystal clear it's more of a turkey for me when you think of all the hyms he could have sang.why susan boyle has dueted with elvis on this one and not one of his really great seasonal songs is a mystery.only 2 1/2 stars from me.

As a teenager I never liked this one, but as I got older, I appreciate it more. Then I would have given it 2 stars, now 4.

This is such a beautiful song and it's easily one of my most favorite Christmas songs. Elvis' rendition of it was brilliant too.

Really love this carol, along with its 'sister' The First Noel from the 1971 Christmas recordings. I play this throughout the year, unlike what I call the real Christmas songs, and find the whole experience truly uplifting.

I like Elvis' version of this song. Most of all the version first heard on The Memories Of Christmas album.

Elvis is The King of Christmas music as well.

Masterful arrangement from another top notch album from the early 70's. This is one of those recordings where the hand of Elvis is recognizable but his voice is not that dominant. Wonderful built up towards the climax of the song. Four stars.

ha, the end of October, just November to get out of the way, then out come's my Elvis Christmas Cd's. Everyone of Elvis Christmas recordings, including 'faithful' are great. I only listen to them in December but it's worth the wait.

A song we've all heard since childhood in many different versions. I love the Elvis version, the arrangement is great and different. It builds to a great ending. Also love versions by Darin & Jackie Wilson.

Really great recording. I prefer take 2, as released on "Memories of Christmas." Running 4:05 mins. it is much longer than take 1, which is the common version.

I like this version a lot and I also like Darin's version. The two best for my money.

My sister, who is not a big Elvis fan, loves his rendition of this Christmas standard. I think it is perfectly arranged and while I would like to hear a bit more of Elvis, I appreciate that he basically sings a duet with The Imperials and allows them to shine. 5 star track and a great opening for the "...Wonderful World of Christmas" LP.

I much prefer the Christmas Duets version, but not one of Elvis' best Christmas carols.

Great recording, good arrangement and just right for Christmas morning while cooking breakfast, a full Ulster fryup.
