I know Pot Luck is considered lesser than the previous Nashville albums, and maybe it is. But I like the latin flavour which gives the album character and consistency, while many other Elvis albums were more like a collection of songs.

Yes the voice was magnificent on these sessions, and the Latin flavour was a big bonus as it was always a weakness of mine . The only thing that has always bugged me was why Suspicion did not get issued as a single back in 1962, it would have been a monster hit IMHO.

I wonder why "Stepping Out Of Line" has been omitted in the ALBUM MASTERS.

Good point! "Stepping Out of Line" should come after "Easy Question". So why is it omitted?

Most likely, "Steppin' Out Of Line" will be put in the "Blue Hawaii Sessions" if it ever gets released.

Elvis was in great voice at the 'Pot Luck' sessions. But he flexed it on way too many middling or subpar songs because a solid investment in good songwriters was seen as a threat while lucrative movie commitments were given priority. They got it the wrong way around. The expanded BMG CD is quite sufficient.

The fire that destroyed most of the FTD such for Europe distribution was reported on 10/9 by Elvisnews under the article "Burning Warehouse".
