Don't care about Elvis' snippet. 1 star. But I love a version by country singer Sonny James. It was a big hit back in the day. 4 stars.

It was a request from audience & he only sang a bit because his mom & dad liked it and used to sing it around the house. My mom used to sing it too, so I was thrilled to catch him singing it once. Even if just a little. Ed Ames had it out as a big hit during my moms time. He sings it beautifully.

Saw it was the song for today, listened to it on YouTube and I must say was pleasantly surprised with the improved quality of the recording which made it much more enjoyable than when I last heard it.
