Midnights prayers so softly whispered in
A Cathedral's candle light
Bring the message of the holidays
On a snowy Christmas night
Holly reeds and hidden mistletoe
Symbols of the seasons might
Joyful faces everywhere you go
On a snowy Christmas night
Give thanks for all you've been blessed with
And hold your loved ones tight
For you know the Lord's been good to you
On a snowy Christmas night
Mother Nature wears a bridal gown
For the world is dressed in white
There's a silent glow that fills the earth
On a snowy Christmas night
For you know the Lord's been good to you
On a snowy Christmas night

Great song, one of the underrated ones. I get a peaceful feeling when I hear this.
One of the best tracks from an underrated Christmas album. Elvis sings it beautifully and everything comes together nicely. One of my favorite Elvis songs regardless of genre.
I think "Walking In A Winter Wonderland" was spoiled by the terrible guitar sound on it & the ending was such a good idea either. But I have to say that this track is good though.
Elvis
Great!I love the whole album. And i don't think it's underrated, i hear a lot of those songs in stores etc. and it has sold very well over the years. 5 stars for this song and album.
Good recording and a good collection on the orginal Lp. I've got all Elvis' Christmas recordings, plus the duets & re-mixes on various cds. So during December where ever i go Elvis' Christmas songs get played, in the dining room, lounge, kitchen, car, even the bedroom. My big favourite is the remix of 'I Believe'. Something ready good about it. But ready, i love them all. Merry Christmas to E fans everywhere.
A beautiful song, sung beautifully. Thank God we have now CD's which contains all his Christmas songs.
A performance that is straightforward, relaxed and sincere, triumphs at all levels.
A well done sort of country sounding Christmas tune. Hard to find much Christmas songs that aren't clichés, but this one achieves this nicely.
This is such a marvelous and under-rated Christmas song and Elvis' rendition of it was sensational. I love all of Elvis' Christmas music immensely. Elvis always sang Christmas songs so tenderly and beautifully. All of the Christmas songs that Elvis recorded are magical gems.
This terrific tune (with its appropriate lyrics) should have been the closing track on Elvis' 1971 Christmas album,
instead of Silver Bells.
One of his better songs from his 2nd Christmas album. 5-stars.
Elvis does a great job on this song. The embodiment of all that is Christmas.
Love all of his Christmas songs and this one is no different. Well sung, beautiful words, and just a comfortable homey type song.
