I just heard Linda Ronstadt doing a song with this title. If that's the song Elvis did, it would fit him perfectly.
I have the vinyl bootleg with the same title, i like what i hear, good drumming.
I love the version of this song by Dale & Grace. I've never cared for Elvis' recording of it because it's way too boring and way too repetitive. Elvis should have done a proper studio version of this gem.
How can this be the song of the day? Given the cost to buy FTD CDs outside the USA, the song is inaccessible to many people.
The 1963 Dale & Grace hit was one of my favorite singles that year. In fact, you can hear Dale trying to sound a little like Elvis in the bridge. This could have been a great song for Elvis to cover in the studio with a female singer doing the Grace part. As it stands its not much of anything in the form we have it, but I guess its nice to have since its an attempt at something out of the norm.
One of this could have been ... if .. songs. But we don't live in a "could have been" world, so i can only rate what's really there. And what's there is really nothing. 1 star.
Wasted space for Song Of The Day. 1 star.
