I'll be home for Christmas,
You can plan on me.
Please have snow and mistletoe
And presents for the tree.
Christmas Eve will find me
Where the love light leads.
I'll be home for Christmas, oh yes
If only in my dreams.

Elvis' version of this Christmas ballad is full of feeling and is an absolute masterpiece. 5 stars!
This song takes me back to Christmases past. The kind spent overseas when the holiday meant a tree in the hall and a bunch of homesick soldiers relying on a shaky internet connection to reach their family. Elvis' is my favorite version. He infuses something special into the song. The sincerity in his voice is brimming. This is one of the standout tracks for me from Elvis' Christmas Album. I can listen to it anytime.
Elvis sings it as if it's a sacred song. Astonishingly beautiful.
This also takes me back to Christmas past when everything seemed much more sincere, or is it just misplaced nostalgia on my part. Up there with Bing in my book in giving that warm glowing feeling of Christmas.- a very nice track indeed.
There's a great version of this fab recording on the Elvis Christmas Remixes. original 4 tars Remix 4.5
One of my all-time favorites from this classic album. I never tire of it. It's a shame more actual Christmas songs could have been recorded for inclusion on the 2nd side of the album rather than the EP "Peace In The Valley" and it's 4 tracks. A timeless classic regardless.
This is such a beautiful and iconic Christmas song and Elvis' rendition of it is a masterpiece. This is by far one of the most recorded Christmas songs of all time. I'm so very confident that this Christmas song will always be hugely popular. 5 Stars.
First heard this when I bought Elvis Christmas Album on Camden in the mid 70s. Happy memories of when Christmas used to mean so much more. Beautiful track
A really nice version. I love the 1957 album, but I wish it was comprised of 12 real Christmas songs. The sacred songs from the EP just don't fit IMO. I really only played Side 1 growing up.
Oh yes, Elvis and Christmas, I just love all his Christmas recordings.
