Didja' ever
Didja' ever get
Didja' ever get one
Didja' ever get one of them
Didja' ever get one of them days, boy
Didja' ever get one of them days
When nothin' is right from mornin' till night
Didja' ever get one of them days
Didja' ever get one of them days
Ya get up in the morning and turn the shower on
You're gettin' pneumonia, the hot water is gone
Freezin' sneezin'
You wanna dry your back, a well
Didja' ever get one of them days
When there's no towel on the rack
Didja' ever
Didja' ever get
Didja' ever get one
Didja' ever get one of them
Didja' ever get one of them girls, boys
Didja' ever get one of them girls
Who's awful nice
But cold as ice
Didja' ever get one of them girls, yeah
Didja' ever get one of them girls
Yeah! Girls, girls, girls, girls, girls, girls, girls, girls
You're at a drive-in movie
With a cute brunette
A countin' on the kisses that you figure to get
Closer, closer, then she hollers ho!
Didja' ever get one of them girls
Who just wants to watch the show
Show, show, show, show, show, show, show, show
Didja' ever
Didja' ever get
Didja' ever get one
Didja' ever get one of them
Didja' ever get one of them days, boy
Didja' ever get one of them days
When nothin' is right
From mornin' to night
Didja' ever get one of them days, boy
Didja' ever get one of them days
You're on a Sunday picnic
And then it starts to pour
You run through poison ivy, scratch until you're sore
Ants come dancin', carry off the bread
Didja' ever get one of them days
When you should a-stayed in bed
Didja' ever
Didja' ever get
Didja' ever get one
Didja' ever get one of them

A great novelty song from an outstanding album and film
OK, not a classic but he recorded worse songs than this. I find it quite enjoyable and fun to listen to.
Quite a new song in that time frame. Within the setting of the movie it is also fitting. It reflects a nice outing and amidst my all time classics (mostly RnR) this is a sheer fun recording.
Well written with humerous lyrics and given a golden touch by Elvis for this 5th movie "G.I. Blues". This song is used for the film finale and it is one of Elvis' best moments on screen. Fun in the film and very enjoyable on record. I give this one 4 1/2 stars.
Its ok but it is more like a Broadway show tune to me. Sung very well with amusing lyrics but not one of the highlights of Elvis' career. Supposedly he was very uhappy with many of the songs he was given for GI Blues. I would assume this was one of them.
A song I remember from being a near teenager. I have always loved the song and the scene it was from. For me a memorable film and soundtrack.
One of the standout movie memories I have of Elvis as a child in the seventies. Sure it's not a patch on the soundtrack material of the fifties but he was entering new family friendly territory here and I and millions of others loved it. But the quality of soundtracks would continue to slip with each new movie and after VLV they just plunged didn't they? :S
great song for a finale,in the tradition of the old time musicals(choreography wise).five stars from me,the film and the song were entertaining.
I really enjoy this recording and think that it contributes in a real positive manner to the film and album. Different from the norm for Elvis at the time but an entertaining fun song, that encourages one to sing along with the chorus.
This is such a terrific, unique and fun song and I've never skipped it. It's from one of Elvis' very best soundtrack albums.
How could anyone think up songs like this for Elvis when you listen to his work of the fifties. How could anyone think," I have to write a song for Elvis "and comes up with this? It really amazes me.
Humorous novelty song from "GI Blues". Cute, but hardly memorable and the forerunner of much worse to come.
Strictly movie fluff. Garbage in, garbage out.
Not a great song. But a good, humor filler finale for an entertaining movie, 3 stars.
The 3 movies prior to this 1960 film had a bunch of Leiber/Stoller songs. This movie didn't and the soundtrack suffered because of it. But as noted, worse was yet to come.
