That's The Way It Is will be shown in theatre Concordia in Enschede, The Netherlands on August 16. Afterwards there will be an afterparty with live music in Crossroads, also in Enschede.

On the day that Elvis died, there is a special, exclusive film screening at 'Concordia' on the Oude Markt in Enschede. The film takes you back to 1970 and lets you relive Elvis' greatest concert series in Las Vegas! Followed by a special 'Elvis Rock 'n' Roll Afterparty' in Crossroads.
Forty-two years ago, on August 16, 1977, one of the greatest musical icons of the 20th century, Elvis Presley, died at the age of 42. Elvis lived as long as he has been gone. The interest in Elvis and his success worldwide is still unprecedented. Elvis is one of the founders of contemporary music. His music caused a shockwave all over the world and the start of the 'modern age' in many areas.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of Elvis' grand return to the live stage, after years of filmmaking in Hollywood. Elvis performed in Las Vegas for a month, breaking several visitor records. This success made movie studio MGM decide to make a concert film about Elvis' glorious comeback.
This would become the legendary film 'That's The Way It Is', shot in Las Vegas in August 1970. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of this poignant moment in Elvis' career, the movie ''That's The Way It Is' will be screened once and exclusively at the Concordia cinema, Markt 15 in Enschede on the big screen! Return to 1970 and relive Elvis' finest performances of that year in Las Vegas!
On the occasion of Elvis' death, the famous artist Sonna Krom will exhibit a painting by Elvis especially made for this day. The official Dutch Elvis Presley Fanclub 'It's Elvis Time' will also be present with an Elvis shop, complete with CDs, records and various Elvis memorabilia.
Immediately after the movie, there will be a festive, musical, Rock 'n' Roll Afterparty at 'Crossroads' on the Stadsgravenstraat 19, also in Enschede, with among others the 'Gumbo Chiefs' and Ramblin Martin & The Bad Luck Souls. The Afterparty will continue well past midnight!
Ticket price for the movie: 10 euro. Ticket price for the Afterparty: 10 euro - NB: cardholders of a film ticket for 'That's The Way It Is' at Concordia get a 2,50 euro discount on a ticket for the Afterparty.
