Recorded at The Las Vegas Hilton Showroom. All recordings are from original soundboard source.
Great news, I need to have this. I hope the audio quality is really good.
I really like the look of this set but I’ve overspent on getting my 7” FTD CDs collection complete. I’ve previously ignored most the soundboards because I can’t afford everything FTD throws at us and was hoping for a full session release next. Can someone share the sound quality once it’s out? Fabulous cover and I like the Feb 74 shows.
A very good season and good set lists with an Elvis looking good and in a good mood. That´s my opinion. From ftd we only did get one song from these 3 concerts on the i found my thrill ftd and one of the concerts isn´t even on cdr out there ( 29. January ). So ...
I hadn't heard soundboard recordings from this Vegas stint.. nice!
In general I also like Elvis' performance here, as the title track Let Me Be There was unlike later shouting versions, the setlist varied and a nice bridge between the earlier and later 70's.
The last outing by FTD of this Vegas season was "I Found My Thrill"...long long ago so it was high noon for another outing...this Vegas gig is kind of underrated...Elvis was in good condition and set list were fine..also we hear Stamps singing Why Me Lord..etc..it were the first renditions of this song..back then on stage..2 shows were available before only on soso sounding imports..the Jan 29 show was unreleased in any form before...the collectors now have this Vegas season complete for their listening pleasure on various formats...to my ears the sound is good. My advice: For all collectors a must have !!
I just received my cd but I'm confused. I think there is some speed issue on cd 1 and cd 2. I wonder if anyone saw this or maybe I could be wrong.
It is inadmissible for FTD, which is a label for collectors, to release something that is expensive with speed errors and in other releases grotesque errors with important information and even changed songs as in the case of Destination Usa. I'm disappointed, I can't listen to these shows at very fast speed, that's disrespectful, I want to know what FTD is going to do? I started collecting FTDs because I thought you guys had quality control. many bootlegs are higher quality than the FTDs, and the FTD should be ashamed of themselves. FTD should replace these disks. I paid dearly with an absurd shipping value to receive something that brought me disappointment.
The recordings on these 3 CDs are at the WRONG SPEED, running too fast! The incompetent clowns at FTD screwed up again! ~ I'm looking forward to the MRS label (Memphis Recording Service) correcting the speed issues and releasing their own superior set of these concerts!
