Elvis much preferred to nail a song in a singular, immaculate master take. He valued the principal that a singer should sing a song and so very few of his masters were cobbled together from unsatisfactory, rejected out-takes. (Even then, a minimal number of takes were conjoined, normally only two.) CD releases of this type are incongruous with Elvis's idea of music and I dislike them.
