Apart from being a pair of unknown concerts, I'm not expecting the world from Elvis here. After being at his peak during the March tour, his form plateaus out from this tour onwards where the boredom of touring starts. The identical 'steak and chips' set lists certainly reflect that. Might get it if the sound is decent. The sound on the "Live in LA" soundboard was about the worst I've ever heard. Wait and see.

We cant change what Elvis left for us. The shows are decent and any collector of this stuff will get them. The collectors label lives up to its name. The sound is good, the cover art work, too.

A little disappointing that there is no studio-stuff planned for this release-date. But hey, two new shows from the soundboard. I've experienced worse back in the 80's.

The art of the cover of the cd was cool, but I'm still in doubt if I buy or not. I hope the sound quality is good

Handsome cover. I won't get it anyway, by now I have at least nine '74 concerts CDs. Of course many of you probably have dozens of the same year, but for me I have more than enough.

Good cover art, I like it. And yes the shows are the same from day to day, but he is in good spirit and in fine voice. That´s it for me. And they, the folks behind ftd, only can relase concerts they have in the vaults and the two shows are unreleased. A plus too for the collectors label what ftd is all about. I wonder what will be the next complete sessions ?

Right Ciscoking, we can‘t change what Elvis left for us. The sound and cover art is good. I will buy and enjoy it.

I have always found it interesting and mysterious that Elvis performed Big Boss Man on numerous occasions in the concert years but its 'brother song' Guitar Man was seemingly totally ignored.

hey friends tot hose of you who ask where is the studio session, ain't we just gotten the elvis in back full session? it should count, no? Mikael

Ciscoking, my main concern is the speed of the recordings being correct on both concerts. Many fans will be highly ticked-off and disappointed (again) if the speed is too fast or too slow.

I'm so very disappointed that FTD spelled San Bernardino incorrectly on the front cover. I'll surely be buying this upcoming FTD 2-CD set even if FTD doesn't ever fix this atrocious mistake. I've lived in California for my entire life. I've been buying FTD CD releases on a yearly basis for nearly 20 years now.
Ciscoking wrote on January 17, 2020
No worries...the typo has been fixed ..no big deal. The speed is correct to my ears..but I dont use software to messure it...

Ciscoking, did anyone with FTD do a quality-control check on these 2 cassette-recorded concerts before transferring them to CDs?
TheMemphisFan wrote on January 17, 2020
. . . Actually 3 soundboard cassettes transferred to the two CDs.

Oh well... I guess I'll just wait and read the reviews on this set later when it's released. That's usually the safest route to take.

being the completist i am i know i will give it a skip through and shelve it like many , many previous releases . My dealer from the netherlands sends me all the latest FTD , boots etc... every 2 weeks on average . I think it's a sighn of being spoiled as an Elvis music fan

I like the cover buts the only positive thing I can say about this release.

NorwayElvis, you haven't heard the CDs yet, so how can you assume "the cover is the only positive thing I can say about this release." ?
