Gotta do some livin', got the wanderlust
Better clear the highway 'cause I'm gonna move some dust
Oh I got wheels, wheels on my heels
And I gotta keep rollin', rolling along
Lots of pretty dollies try to fence me in
But I love 'em and leave 'em 'cause a tumbleweed's my kin
Oh I got wheels, wheels on my heels
And I gotta keep rollin', rolling along
Why do I keep movin', never settlin' down
Can it be I'm looking for a dream I haven't found
Oh I got wheels, wheels on my heels
And I gotta keep rollin', rolling along
Oh I got wheels, wheels on my heels
And I gotta keep rollin', rolling along

I kinda like this song... too short tho'. I've always felt Queen's "A Crazy Thing Caled Love" took the intro from this one.
A short, upbeat song in the vein of "What A Wonderful Life" from "Follow That Dream". This one is in "Roustabout" and even though it is the 3rd song in the movie, it is the last song on the album. Good song, Good film, good soundtrack LP.
This is a cool song. Should have been another minute longer. Some of the rare good film songs were always too damn short.
A nice song, above average for movie songs. its way too short - just like "Steppin' Out of Line", another movie gem that could've been so much better had it been longer.
Pretty good tune, but yes too short and the backing could use more punch. Could have been a real rocker if done properly. It was even shorter in the film!
A nice rocking road song that should have been longer with the addition of an instrumental break. Fitted into the film and that appeared to be the prime aim at the time at the expense of other considerations.
I love the drumsound on this great rocker. There were three drummers on this session and it wouldn't surprise me if all three are present on Wheels... The drummers were DJ Fontana, Hal Blaine & Buddy Harman. Boots does the sax parts. A great, but short track.
One of the better tunes from the film "Roustabout" and yes, it's way, way too short.
Many of Elvis' film songs were short because they were written to fit a scene. The idea was sing the song, advance the action and move on. The quicker the better. Writing a hit wasn't the object. For the writer(s) the point was to write a song that would get selected. I like Wheels On My Heels. Short. To the point. Fits the scene. 3 stars. Was edited in the film.
