Viva el vino, viva el dinero
Viva, Viva
El amor
I like to drink wine, and money is fine
But I like the girls even more
Viva el vino, viva el dinero, viva viva el amor
Some pesos you pass, put wine in her glass
And soon she will say "si senor"
Viva el vino, viva el dinero, viva viva el amor
With wine on your lips and money in your pocket
And your sweetheart in your arms
You're rich as you can be
So lift up your glass, let's sing it all together
Muchachas, caballeros, make this toast with me
We'll drink one more time, with money and wine
Let's drink to the girls we adore
Viva el vino, viva el dinero, viva viva el amor
Sing one more time, money and wine
Let's sing to the girls we adore
Viva el vino, viva el dinero, viva viva...
El amor

Now this song really fits the movie scene. Even as a song its not bad, nice Latin flavor & sung very well. Lively.
What's with the low rating?! The opening "viva, viva" is classic. El amor!
The whole Fun In Acapulco is very good in my opinion( i could live without Theres No Room To Rhuma In A Sports Car...) Besides Elvis, the musicians on this album are very very good. To me, its the last good soundtrack album he recorded.
This is a song taken from one of the better movies. It is a movie with a nice story. The song blends in very well and has a funny streak. I like it as I like the movie. Lyric and performance wise this song and some others from the very same movie shows that Elvis could also reach out to the Latin style.
Having lived and worked in South America for some time I love every attempt of Presley to dive into its cultural and musical heritage. Too bad he himself never made it down there to do a show.
Que viva la música del King, estupenda la canción...! Saludos desde Suiza. Peter.
Very good song. from a fun movie. Very enjoyable soundtrack. Some people tend to rate soundtrack songs low just because they're soundtrack songs. It's the 11th commanment of many Elvis fans: "Thou shalt dis soundtrack songs." Unless of course they're from the '50s movies. Then they pee their pants with eexcitement.
Even after drinking 5 vino's I couldn't rate this stinker rate more than one star.
Even the worst movie song from the 50's is better than this stale bottle of Tequila. Viva el Stinko like the rest of the soundtrack except for Bossa Nova Baby.
I love this in spite of myself. The plain fact is, many of the soundtrack songs are a whole hell of a lot of fun! This one certainly is--as is much of the Fun In Acapulco soundtrack.
Elvis lifts every track on the "Fun In Acapulco" soundtrack with his beautiful voice and this one is no exception. Don't judge a song by it's title, this one is actually very good and fits perfectly in the movie. 3 1/2 to 4 stars.
I am listening to this right now and I am a sucker for the Latin influence which seems to suit Elvis perfectly.
Love the guys backing him, and the general feeling of great joy, but acknowledge it is not the best song in his portfolio.
3 stars - but I enjoyed it
This is such a fun, catchy, unique and underrated Elvis movie song and I've never skipped it. I rate this song 5 Stars. I love the Latin flavor of the movie and its soundtrack and I find the movie and its soundtrack to be highly enjoyable too.
Not a very good song, period. Except for the actual soundtrack songs "Fun In Acapulco" and "You Can't Say No In Acapulco", I really don't care for most of the drivel which comprises this soundtrack album.
Not a very good song, but the arrangment is just so exciting that I enjoy listening to it.
Off to Mexico on holiday next week and I can’t wait to play this fun soundtrack through my headphones on the beach. Love the whole soundtrack, even Rhumba in a sports car. I’m so grateful for Elvis movie soundtracks and songs like this.
