I'll just jump in there whenever I get the chance
I think I forgot to wear my cup
That's just my way of loving you
This time we're really breaking up
I know I forgot to wear my cup
Daa da dum
Those happy hours that we once knew
So apart still make me blue
I know that time heals a broken heart
But time has stood still since we've been apart
I can't stop loving you
I said I made up my mind
To live in memory of a lonesome time
I can't stop wanting you
Its useless to say
So I'll just live my life
In dreams of yesterday
Those happy hours that we once knew
So long ago you know they still make be blue
They say that time heals a broken heart
But time has stood still since we've been apart
I can't stop loving you
I said I made up my mind
To live in memory of a lonesome time
I can't stop wanting you
Its useless to say
So I'll just live my life
In dreams of yesterday
Mmmmm my life in dreams of yesterday

It was a tradition that everyone recording at Moman's studio, sang this song, written by Moman. Elvis don't know it really and soon starts singing Can't stop loving you. Shakin' Stevens did a proper version on his Shaky album. On Elvis' version you hear Elvis attempting two guitar solos, but he was stricktly a rhytmn player as is quite clearly when you listen to him on this track.
Would have been great if Elvis had made a studio recording of 'This Time'.
I consider Elvis' very short version of "This Time" to be a complete waste of time. It would have been nice if Elvis had recorded a proper version of it. The only highlight of this medley is "I Can't Stop Loving You".
This is one o the highlights of Elvis February American session. I just love this medley, love it's spontaneity, love it's blues feeling. Listen to Elvis infectious laughs, the way he treats his guitar, and the feeling and emotion he puts in the verse “ Those happy hours that we once knew So long ago you know... they still make be blue”, mainly in the end of it (“they still make me blue”), and we are in presence of the king of Music. Only Elvis was able to give us this type of pearls in a rehearsal. My King!
Lovely tune! Just wish he would have recorded a studio version.
It's such a great jam! Pity Elvis didn't spend more time on these two instead of trying out Hey Jude! These two songs suit Elvis much better. I Can't Stop Loving You would have been great as this jam clearly shows. He never bettered the song in concert imo!
Yes, i know it's only a jam, but that doesn't change the fact that it's not good by any means. I never listen to it, and why should i? There is so much great music out there, this is really nothing going nowhere. 1 star.
This is nothing more than an off the cuff jam, plain and simple. Garbage in, garbage out. 1-star.
