Well get out of that kitchen and rattle those pots and pans
Get out of that kitchen and rattle those pots and pans
Well I want my breakfast 'cause I'm a hungry man
I believe you're doin' me wrong and now I know
I believe you're doin' me wrong and now I know
'cause the harder I work the faster my money goes
Well I said shake, rattle and roll
I said shake rattle and roll
I said shake, rattle and roll
I said shake rattle and roll
Well you won't do right
To save your doggone soul
I'm like the one-eyed cat peeping in a seafood store
I'm like the one-eyed cat peeping in a seafood store
Well I can look at you till you ain't no child no more
Well I said shake, rattle and roll
I said shake rattle and roll
I said shake, rattle and roll
I said shake rattle and roll
Well you won't do right
To save your doggone soul
I'm like a Mississippi bullfrog sittin' on a hollow stump
I'm like a Mississippi bullfrog sittin' on a hollow stump
I've got so many women I don't know which way to jump
I said flip flop and fly I don't care if I die
I said flip flop and fly I don't care if I die
I won't ever leave .. Don't ever say goodbye

Love this live version eversince I heard it the first time. It is so full of spunk, the trademark of the man who was at that moment definitely destined to become the King of Music.
Two songs that sounds very much the same. Elvis could've done the same with That's allright/My baby left me. This live version has different lyrics than the studio version and doesn't sound so frenetic.
Classic t.v. performance! I give it the same number of stars that are in the heavens.
Raw and historical but his performances over the next few stage shows improved a lot from this debut. I like watching it performed but rarely listen to it without the video. Wish they would bring these shows out professionally restored like they did for Ed Sullivan
One of the greatest renditions of Rock Music. Pure and simple: a milestone in music history. The Young Pelvis soon to be King. Brutal, provocative, socially disturbing and musically perfect.
5-stars for this song, but not necessarily this live version. This was the first song on my first 45RPM Extended Play, which was what most of us at such a young age could afford. If one owns the FTD 2-CD version of his first album "Elvis Presley" you'll find an unedited version of this song with just Elvis singing and no backup singing which the recorded version always had on it from RCA. That's the best version and the ultimate Elvis Presley back in 1956.
3 stars for this live medley. 5 stars for the record version of Shake, Rattle and Roll.
When i watch the video i find it very enjoyable, but i never listen to the isolatet music-track. 4 stars for the performance.
I know it’s a great rock n roll classic but I’ve never cared for it and never play it. I just don’t like the tune or melody.
Man if you don't like this song you don't like rock n' roll. Pure Elvis. Pure rock. Doing it his way.
Elvis covering these Joe Turner songs reminds me of Elvis covering Arthur Crudup songs. Two great bluesmen that Elvis admired. I love it all, and I wish Elvis had continued to cover a lot more R&B as his career progressed. He excelled on these tunes. 5 stars
