If you found someone new who means more than me to you.
I'd never stand in your way
If you feel we must part, don't let pity rule your heart
I'll never stand in your way
I love you much too much to ever lose you
But what is to be will be and I'll obey
I'll be blue when you go but I'll never let it show.
I'd never stand in your way
I loved you much too much to ever lose you
But what is to be will be and I'll obey
I'll be blue when you go but I'll never let it show
I'd never stand in your way

The Hicksville Bombers did a rockabilly version. Elvis was still 6 months away from That's all right. Maybe Elvis got his inspiration from Joni James.
As a performance only average with Elvis at this point in his career having a boyish undeveloped voice, but not without a certain charm. A scratchy recording rescued from obscurity, it is however priceless as a historic stepping stone in the Elvis story.
This is the shy, young boy from Tupelo/Memphis Tennessee who was about to become the King ere long. In a way he never lost that shyness, although he tried to pretend differently. I really doubt whether he ever really realised his greatness. It is indeed hard to fathom from this recording how great this youngster will become. Hence this is unique material for annals of modern music.
I really enjoy this long lost Elvis recording. This recording was a truly great find. Elvis truly enjoyed singing every song that he sang during the 1950's. He always sang with sincerity and passion during the 1950's. I love every song that Elvis sang during the 1950's. The 1950's will always be the best decade of Elvis' career by far.
Like this song and it's words. Reminds me of my daughters wedding. I'm sure most fathers would too! Play it, listen and see if you agree.
A true classic! I give it the same amount of stars that are in the heavens.
