Elvis could sing everything...and it sounded as great as it had been written for or even by him !
Which version of him singing it, are we referring to? (LOL)
Elvis never did a professional recording of this song, so it shouldn't be on here as the song of the day.
I can't think of a version with good enough quality to make judging this song feasible. It's just everybody on stage singing together isn't it? Now if he had sung it in good quality and used my name instead of say, Charlie or James then clearly we'd be talking five stars here.
Maybe 30 years ago there was a radio show in the Netherlands that was called the Rock 'n' roll Methode. I taped every show, so I can remember this song very clearly. The DJ's were talking over the song, so no one could tape it & release it.
On some versions Elvis is playing the piano, but someone recites the words to him. On other versions, Elvis hums over a recorded version by a female singer.
