would have been better in a short box, then i could have folded it up into a paper plane and threw it out the window. just another repeat of a repeated repeat. waste of a nice picture cover.

Aren't we clever - dissing Elvis' first three albums! I'm not crazy about the endless repackaging of his albums, but this limited edition release (mainly at big outlets like Costco) basically takes the most recent reissues of albums 1,2, and 3 and puts them in a boxset. What exactly is the problem? It's great content, faitheful to the original albums (each disc is each original album - expanded 1999/2005 version), with the original CD covers included with liner notes from Colin Escott. I don't have this (bought it for a friend or two) but I applaud RCA for keeping this stuff out there in a classier way then other recompiles like the "Love, Elvis," "Christmas Peace" and "genre" releases. Keeping his catalog in print - bravo!
