Elvis was chosen as one of the ten outstanding young men in 1970 by the Junior Chamber of Commerce (JCC, Jaycees). On Saturday January 16, 1971 Elvis attended a special prayer breakfast, a press conference, luncheon, held a reception at Graceland and accepted the award in person at the ceremony at Ellis Auditorium.
