Are you people running "Elvis News" for real? This is an advertisement of sorts for the March of Dimes requesting donations just before the start of "It Is No Secret (Take 12)" found on the FTD CD "Elvis Easter Special" released back in 2001. It's all of 24 seconds long according to my FTD CD, recorded back in 1957. Time to get a life folks; this is absolutely ridiculous!
I did not realize that I had this obscure song on an FTD CD.
Could have been great if recorded properly.
Can't bring myself to submit even 1 star. I usually get the cd out and play sotd. Can't today sorry to say.
I believe the melody for this one was based upon "March of the Tin Soldiers" from The Nutcracker Suite, composed by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Unless I am mistaken and it is one of John Philip Sousa's marches. Either way: 5 Stars!
It is very popular song and think it is missing, amongst others captured on the FTD releases 'All shook up' and 'Live in Las Vegas'. Of course this 'March of Dimes' is another great recording from a fantastic Elvis year.
Would have been a good song title for the G.I. Blues soundtrack back in the day.
