I want my share of love, it might as well be known
But I ain't thinking of one girl to love alone
That ain't the way it's gonna be, I'm on my own and I am free
And I've been satisfied, so I don't wanna be tied

Somebody's loving arms can sure be sweet I've found
But I want no-one's arms to ever hold me down
Once I get caught inside a net I'm gonna run I bet
I'm gonna run and hide, I don't wanna be tied

I've seen lovers who were matched, they thought that love could stay
Once they cared and got attached, it seems that love just slipped away
Don't want no claims on me,
don't want no chains that bind
As anyone could see
I say what's on my mind
Well there ain't nothing I conceal, I'm gonna play the field
The field of love is wide ,

I don't wanna be tied
The field of love is wide,
I don't wanna be tied
The field of love is wide,
I don't wanna be tied
I said I don't, I don't wanna be, I don't wanna be tied

It sounds like the hollywood/fake version of rock'n'roll. As an lp filler it's acceptable, it's not unlistenable, but a waste of time and talent. The ggg ost is a mixed bag, this track is average at best. 2 stars.

What a joke! This song is so forced and sounds pretty much the same as a lot of other supposed soundtrack recordings. "Girls! Girls! Girls!" was an attempt to re-do the movie "Blue Hawaii" and failed rather miserably at it. As one of the prior reviews listed here, "Phony" rock 'n roll fits the narrative perfectly.

I think this is the second best song on the "Girls, Girls, Girls" soundtrack. Catchy and it really rocks, just ranks behind the immortal "Return To Sender"

Elvis does his best, even does his famous ending. Still a lacklustre performance.

I like a lot of film material, but as a rock song this is mediocre. Pedestrian without excitement, even Elvis sounds uninspired until the Rock-A-Hula Baby style ending. Should have stayed in the film and not transferred to vinyl

A fun movie song. And performed well in the film.

A song I've always loved because of its latin flavour. I admit it's not one of his best but still one of the better mid-sixties soundtrack recordings. I give it 4 stars...

A fun song with good performance delivered in the movie. One of the better songs from the Girls! Girls! Girls! soundtrack, though the ending of the song had been done already a few times before. Three stars from me.

Another 3 1/2 star song from the movie and soundtrack "Girls! Girls! Girls!. This one is a nice piece of early 60's rock and roll (the harder and risque' stuff was no longer as popular, look at the sales of "Good Luck Charm" and "Return To Sender" as opposed to "Little Sister" and "I Feel So Bad") and along with the title tune helps get the soundtrack LP (it was the 2nd song on the LP) get off to a promising start. I love Elvis' tongue in cheek peformance of this song in the movie.

One of those phony rock n roll movie songs. There were too many of these in his career. They all had no feeling and were an insult to the real rock n roll Elvis made.
