June 28, 1956: Elvis performed at the College Park, Charleston, South Carolina.
June 28, 1957: Elvis appeared briefly on stage with Danny Thomas at Thomas' Shower of Stars to benefit St. Jude's Hospital at Russwood Park in Memphis. The show included movie stars Jane Russell and Susan Hayward, country singer Ferlin Huskey, pop singer Roberta Sherwood and comedian Lou Costello.
June 28, 1966: Elvis worked on the new soundtrack from 7.00 p.m. to 2.45 a.m. at Radio Recorders with a complete contingent of musicians from Nashville.
June 28, 1968: At 9.00 a.m. work began with the taping of the gospel medley.
