May 27, 1956: Elvis performed at the University of Dayton Fieldhouse, Dayton, Ohio at 2.00 and 8.00 p.m.
May 27, 1962: Like many other Sundays in Hollywood Elvis and the guys played football at De Neve Park near Elvis' home and Elvis' team was suspiciously invincible.
May 27, 1963: Again Elvis went to RCA's Studio B in Nashville and recorded from 7.00 p.m. to 4.00 a.m.
May 27, 1966: Elvis went into the recording studio again from 7.00 p.m. to 5.00 a.m.
May 27, 1969: Elvis flew back to Memphis, where he stayed until July 5, except for a brief trip to Las Vegas and Los Angeles.
May 27, 1976: Elvis performed at the Athletic Center, Bloomington, Indiana, which was the first show of a short tour of 11 days.
May 27, 1977: Elvis performed at the Broome county Veterans Memorial Arena, Binghamton, New York.
May 27, 1957: Toronto radio station CHUM went to a Top 40 format and published its first hit record chart 50 years ago today, in 1957. The No. 1 song was Elvis Presley’s All Shook Up. The 1,500th issue of the chart made its appearance on March 14, 1986, making it the oldest surviving radio station chart in North America. The chart was discontinued later in 1986 when CHUM dropped its Top 40 format.
