March 12, 1956

At 8.44 a.m. Vernon, Gladys and Elvis signed papers to complete the purchase of their new home for $29,500 from Welsh Plywood Corporation.

March 12, 1958

Elvis was back in Hollywood and attended a cast party, given by Hal Wallis. In an interview with Vernon Scott Elvis said that the army couldn't be any worse than the merry-go-round he had been on for the past 2 years.

March 12, 1960

Elvis threw a party at Graceland. He took time out to greet a group of deaf children who arrived at the gates of Graceland.

March 12, 1961

Elvis went to Nashville by bus to the RCA Studio B to record new songs for his album and a new single. He worked from 6.00 p.m. to 5.15 a.m.

March 12, 1962

Elvis bought a 1962 Dodge House Car for over $10,500. This was the way he planned to travel to California.

March 12, 1967

After learning of the accident, Vernon and Priscilla flew out from Memphis to Elvis. The Colonel had by now dismissed Marty Lacker as coforeman, leaving Joe Esposito in charge. Larry Geller was banished, forbidden by the Colonel to spend any time alone with Elvis. There were no more religious discussions and no more books allowed.

Principal photography began. Primarily the filming took place at the studio but included some locations around Los Angeles.

Elvis performed at the Coliseum, Richmond, Virginia.

March 12, 1975

Elvis finished the sessions in the RCA studio with 2 more masters before he broke off at 3.30 a.m. The 10 songs were barely enough for a new album and there was no new single among them.

Elvis got some sand into his eye and instead of visiting the USS Arizona, he hurried back home to Memphis. Dr. Nick suggested that Elvis would recuperate at home for a week or so before going out on tour once again.
