Elvis performed at the Stage Show, CBS Studio, New York City at 8.00 p.m.
For his third appearance CBS finally gave in to the pressure of Steve Shole and allowed Elvis to perform Heartbreak Hotel and Blue Suede Shoes.

February 11, 1957

Elvis filmed the "tavern" scene from Loving You, in which envious local thugs picked a fight with singer Deke Rivers, who, like his real-life counterpart, definitely appealed to their girlfriends.

February 11, 1958

Elvis recorded soundtrack material on Paramount's soundstage from 1.00 to 9.55 p.m. He re-recorded Steadfast, Loyal And True and he worked on the song Danny, which was still an option to be used as title song, in case the film's name would remain A Stone For Danny Fisher.

February 11, 1959

An employee of a German film company came to the house to try to persuade Elvis to sing just one song in an upcoming production. Elvis explained that he was hesitant to do anything that might lead to resentment on the part of his fellow soldiers. In passing, he expressed almost equal concern about fan resentment when he was unable to sign autographs.

Elvis received his full sergeant's stripes and he threw a party to celebrate.
