Elvis performed at the Louisiana Hayride, Municipal Auditorium, Shreveport.

Elvis was pushed by RCA to record some songs. The Colonel held on to his believe: " Overexposure is like a sunburn. It can hurt."

Elvis went to the Holiday on Ice show at Ellis Auditorium and visited backstage some members he had met in Germany.

Back in Memphis Elvis went for a ride in a Piper Comanche airplane, circling over Graceland and even briefly took over the controls.

Elvis reported to Universal for preproduction on Change Of Habit.

Elvis performed at the Civic Center, Roanoke, Virginia.

Accompanied by Sheila Ryan and Lisa Marie, Elvis arrived at RCA's Sunset Boulevard studios at 9.00 p.m. RCA was anxious to get enough product from this session. Elvis, only working with his own vocal group, Voice, managed to put down 4 masters by 7.00 a.m. including "Fairy Tale" and "And I Love You So", which he sung to Sheila in the studio.

RCA Records releases Elvis Presley's single "I Need Your Love Tonight"/"A Fool Such as I," 1 million copies are pressed and sent out to stores. A gold record is sent to Presley, who is stationed in Germany.
