Elvis performed twice this day; first at the U,S, Armory, Newport, Arkansas, at 8.00 p.m. and after that at the Porky's Rooftop Club, Newport, Arkansas, at 10.00 p.m. These and all of Elvis' other performances during the month were booked by Bob Neal, who continued to push the Colonel for another Hank Snow tour.

Elvis was stopped for speeding on Riverside Drive in Memphis. Later between 5.00 and 6.00 p.m. he signed autographs at the Bob Neal Record Shop.

Priscilla was held back by military policemen at the Rhine-Main air base as she tried to gave Elvis one last farewell. Her picture was taken as "The Girl He Left Behind".

Priscilla arrived in Los Angeles with her father, Captain Paul Beaulieu, to meet with Elvis and to conclude arrangements permitting Priscilla to live in Memphis with Vernon and Dee and complete her senior year at Immaculate Conception High School. Elvis assured Priscilla's father that his parents would take good care of her and that she would get a good education at the Catholic parochial school.
