The GWS 'Artifacts of Hollywood & Music' ended with all bids supposedly not reaching the set minimum - very strange if you check their website. However Elvis' Comeback Hagstrom V-2 Guitar reached the max price of US$500,000.
This incredibly important artifact is one of the most historically significant and iconic instruments of all time. The guitar actually belonged to Al Casey who was asked to let Elvis use the guitar by the producers, as they thought it would look beautiful on camera and with the set.
