Elvis' karate instructor, Grand Master Kang Rhee (1938), has passed away.
Funeral services for Grand Master Rhee will be held on Friday, August 23rd at 7:30 pm at Korean Baptist Church of Memphis in Collierville, located at 9650 E. Shelby Drive.

My wife and I visited Kang Rhee spontaneously in Memphis. We were greeted very politely and also asked if we had some time and wanted to train in the current course with the others something. In his office and also in the training room, many Elvis photos hung from the karate sessions. After a nice conversation, with photos and autographs, we thanked and said goodbye. Thank you Mr. Rhee for your time and kindness towards us. A very nice memory that we always like to think about. Rest in peace!
