Both shows are very entertaining and nothing speaks against them.
If one who normally praises every mediocre show as if it is the greatest thing between heaven and earth says that "nothing epeaks against them", than i know that this shows are a waste of time. Read between the lines.
Astonishing what some read between the lines. More astonishing that they never heard anything from these shows so far.
I know them.
thanks Cisco i'll be getting this
Most likely will be getting this. Although Elvis' best for '74 is behind him, I still like this tour. I like to call it the 'havin' fun' tour because much of the dialogue for the Boxcar LP came from this summer period. I don't have the 'Fashion' book that had the CD of the July 1 gig but after hearing it on YouTube it was an entertaining show but I just felt Elvis' singing was a little more forced than it was effective. Maybe a sign of mental fatigue. I never thought Elvis sang How Great Thou Art in June/July '74, until now. I like to use the Kansas City and Cleveland shows as the standard for this tour. Let's hope these 2 live up to it.
I already have it and I must say..really interesting and entertaining shows. Elvis is focused on the music and has full control over everything...in the ES he even does a oneliner of What A Friend We Have In Jesus in the reprise of Funny How Time Slips Away....love those shows..Ernst..thank you !
Cisco, do you ever send back any negative feedback to Ernst?
The same old stuff...FTD is not to blame of course but Elvis himself. The same old songs night after night. Sometimes with a surprise or three in the tracklist but Elvis did run through it within an hour. For the dollars of course. Nothing bad about that but to buy such a CD and listen to it ? No thanks.
