"Over the years, rumors would surface that Elvis was nothing but a racist who stole black culture. Nothing could be further from the truth. Famed African-American Civil Rights photographer Ernest C. Withers said: 'Elvis was a great man and did more for civil rights than people know. To call him a racist is an insult to us all.'"
