RCA have regularly released their Elvis "love songs" compilations and while there is a positive reason to have these kind of CDs in local record shops, Elvis Presley wasn’t always about love and, in the fifties more importantly, he was far more about lust!
In the 1950s' Elvis was basically too damn sexy for mainstream TV, yet 82% of the US viewing audience couldn’t help but watch! The battle for media censorship struggled while Elvis, seemingly unintentionally, kicked down the door for everyone to follow. American youth would never be the same, & the rest of the world would follow.
Elvis was just a natural great-looking sex-god, oozing LUST and surely that deserves a CD worth of celebration. So here is the newly SONY CD "Lust, Elvis (Play it dirty)".

2. Give Me The Right

Is this for real? And Sony? This is the ultimate screwing of the mans legacy. Outrageous. Garbage.
I happen to like the tracklist .....appealed to me instantly...even more so, after #6...Baby, What You Want Me To Do!!
I kind of like the concept, and it makes a change to see Elvis being promoted in a more gritty fashion. I do think they could have gone further with the idea but I'm so used to complaining about the sterile image of Elvis that EPE stick to, I'll take this as a good sign.
Mind you, where the hell is "Power of My Love"? Doesn't get much lustful than that beauty does it?
I like the playlist, but some of these songs are not "lustful" lyric-wise. I would replace Give Me The Right, I Want You With Me, Blue Christmas and Doin't The Best I Can with So Glad You're Mine, Santa Claus Is Back In Town, Animal Instinct and Power Of My Love.
maybe its the 'lust' in the title that makes this come off as some bad joke, I can't stop laughing at the whole thing! Oh dear, I long for the 90s when all the hard work was being done with the catalogue. When Elvis was getting the mainstream recognition he deserved.
Do Not Disturb; One Boy, Two Little Girls ;); Rubberneckin', A Little Less Conversation
Oh where's Do Not Disturb....Wow!!!
'Power of My Love' is there. If you look at the full EIN article it is actually a jokey counter-point suggestion to SONY's regular "Love Songs" on-going compilations!! Its a good joke. Some how this site missed out the "as suggested by EIN" bit. Pretty good section for me. I guess the "Killer" 'A Little Less Conversation' would have to be there if this was for real. probably track 1 at that! 'You're The Boss' "When it comes to lovin', your (?hung like?) a horse" would also be a great addition. Works for me!!!
Guess the webmasters didn't check the complete item on the E.I.N. site; it is just a mock-up from an article from a few years back.
If it were April I would think this was an April Fools joke.
No this is a joke but is is a Valentine's joke!
so do i ! can someone delete my posts? pleeeeeeease !
Just in time for my weddingday ;-)
