Two excellent shows. For those who couldn`t get hold of the originals a must-have in any case. Nice !!
Ditto to what Cisco said - these are two very, very good shows from the summer of '72. If you don't have the originals, you will want to pick these up. In truth, I find these shows more enjoyable than either release of the MSG shows from a few months earlier.
Another great release by people that are faster and more in tune with what fans really want ! Only for those who enjoy hearing Elvis rehearse songs (the real human being behind the extremely successful star) !!
love the cover on these cds i just placed an order on these shows they are a must have
Loks as though I'll have to pick up a copy of Hilton’s All Shook Up - I misread the showtime. I thought this was the same Midnight show that Madison released on the great "Hot August Night" a couple of years ago. Where are my glasses when I need them .....
Don`t expect too much..often these are just oneliners..
The rare songs mentioned below have all been available for years on bootleg CDs. All are not particularly good quality audience recordings and are short incomplete unrehearsed performances. BMG came under fire for releasing "When The Snow Is On The Roses" on their "Live In Las Vegas" box set because of the poor audio quality, these are certainly no better. They are interesting to hear and own, but that is all. Regarding future official 1971 live releases, I fear that the FTD Boston CD will probably be the last word on the subject unless further reasonable quality soundboard recordings are discovered.
