Marvin “GeeGee” Gambill, Jr., who was a longtime friend of Elvis and, in the 1960s, a member of his personal staff/entourage, died Sunday, February 20th. He was struck by a vehicle while walking to work in Nashville and succumbed to his injuries soon after. He was 61.
GeeGee was at one time married to Elvis’s cousin Patsy Presley. Among his survivors are Jimmy Gambill and Deana Gambill Mokry, who are the two children, now adults, from his marriage to Patsy. A private burial was today in Arkansas near the graves of Gee Gee’s mother and brother. His sister, who lives far away, has charge of arrangements and has indicated that a memorial service for friends and family to attend is being planned for later in the year.
Any further information the family provides EPE to share with you will be posted as EPE receives it.
