Elvis is readin the lyrics of "T-R-O-U-B-L-E". Here is photographer George Hill's comment. "Hard to believe it's been 30 years since this concert by Elvis. It is truly "funny how time slips away". This was the first concert I saw with Elvis wearing the two-piece suits. Although Elvis was heavier than usual the show was very good. He was in good spirits and sang with feeling and emotion. Some of my personal favorites were done at this show including "Promised Land", "Fairytale", "My Boy", "T-R-O-U-B-L-E", and "I'll Remember You". I thought he did an excellent job on "My Boy" and "T-R-O-U-B-L-E" which he used a "cheat sheet" with the lyrics! This was the first time he'd done this one "live" I believe. We all have our own great and funny "Elvis stories"; my good friend Gerald Berry went to this concert with me and he had talked to "Big Al" (the announcer) and was convinced he was getting to meet him backstage. I told him he was crazy and it would never happen. Gerald never listened to me and went around behind the coliseum to try and meet Big Al and I went in the auditorium. The show was almost over by the time Gerald got inside and down where I was (5th row). To say he was "upset" is an understatement. He never saw Big Al and most certainly did not get "backstage"! I still harass him about that to this day! But for me it was another great concert by Elvis! George Hill The photo is (c) by Derek Phillips from the Images In Concert website.
