Quiz: It's Now Or Never

January 23, 2005 | Music
After Elvis UK chart success ElvisNews.com and BMG Nederland offer you a chance to win a copy of (hopefully) the next UK #1 single "It's Now Or Never" this week.

All you have to do is tell us under what title Elvis sang the song earlier in a private recording. One little hint: the Italian title won't do it for you. The quiz is closed now.

One lucky person who enters one of the quizzes over all 17 consecutive weeks from January 3 to April 25, will win the complete CD-singles box.

The winner of our third quiz is: Michael Garfield, congratulations! The answer was of course Hank Snow.

If you can’t wait that long, you can order the complete sets on CD or vinyl using the links below.

Just called into our local Woolies store [9-15am] They only got 5 [FIVE] copies of Now or Never in, 3 already sold. They where unable to find covers for the other 2 and i was told they could not therefore supply me. I asked if they find the cover[s] could they keep me one. The answer was NO. No sign of the extra AFSAI copies either. NoN is waiting for me at HMV, but they did not get AFSAI either. So bmg/sony were are the copies we're promised.???

A fool such as i quiz: you first had the year 1953 and in 1953 Jo Staffort had a hit with this number so this is not fair. In "Elvis All shook up "Elvis day by day on jun 10 1958 Elvis had a recording session. "Of the five songs recorded only one had been a hit prior to Elvis recording" A fool such as i" witch was a country hit for Hank Snow in 1952 and a pop hit for Jo Stafford in 1953". So who had a hit in 1953?

"It's Now or Never" was a pretty tough quiz. Hey Job, It took me a couple days to get the answer, and usually I don't have to do research or at least very little.

I've been searching on and off for the whole week, and finally got the right answer (I think) when I wasn't looking for it. Perhaps, if I hunt high and low for a Robbie Williams CD tomorrow, I'll come back with 'Are You Lonesome Tonight?'! I'll try it.
