Dee Stanley Died

September 30, 2013 | People

Dee (Devanda) Stanley, the former step mother of Elvis Presley is dead. Dee married Elvis' father on July 3, 1960, in Huntsville, Alabama, much to the disapproval of Elvis, who refused to attend the wedding & was unhappy that his father married so soon after the death of his mother in 1958. However, those who were around Elvis in Germany at the time, all agree that Dee seemed to make her initial play for Elvis but would finally toss her hubby aside in order to snag Vernon.

I'll never forgive Dee Stanley for telling hateful lies about Elvis. She was so hateful towards Elvis in her book and in interviews. Elvis' father Vernon should have never married her.

Sympathies to her family, but when she appeared on TV about 10 years ago making startling headlines about Elvis "sleeping" with his Mother, she crossed a line...If she really did make a play for Elvis and settled on his Dad, can we blame Elvis for not wanting his Dad to marry her?

God bless her soul, but from what I've read and seen, the Stanley family have caused Elvis lots of heart pain and trouble. Was it also not one of the Stanley brothers that was stoned instead of on duty at the time that Elvis died and may have called for help?

This was a heartless woman that was so full of evil and Vernon should have known better. It is not good to speak of the dead but this woman was just mean and evil

Back in the days she was a hot fox. She was probably too wild for Elvis. But I bet she had to do with some of Vernon's later heart problems..
